I have been creating this blog (in my head) for the past 5 or so years. As fate would have it, I find myself with more than a little time on my hands due to my recent 'unfortunate incarceration' in the hospital. I had a gastric bleed the last week of March 2011, and it (my Dieulafoy's lesion) decided to 'act up' again. Much like before, I hit the deck, this time at work, scaring my fellow co-workers...and myself. I got a ride to TMC in an ambulance (a first) and a 27hr stay in the ER. I'll save you the details, but it took forever to get anyone to listen to us and get someone in there to do an endoscopy. Thanks to a kind (and handsome) intern and his med. student sidekick, I got my bleed fixed and now I am home resting and recuperating. I thought, since I'm stuck here with time on my hands, I'd give this blogging thing a go....Lord know's I've got enough stories floating around my head, I could write a book.
My goal in writing this blog has several facets. I like the idea of keeping a 'diary' of sorts, I hope to perhaps help other's in some way, make you smile , think about something in a different way....of course it would be nice to figure out how to make a little $ too, but that's not the driving force here. I think I have a unique voice in some areas, and want to figure out how to use it.
